Site Classification – AS 2870

We undertake site investigations and soil assessments to determine the appropriate site
classification for residential and building developments in accordance with AS 2870. Our
assessments provide important ground information for foundation and footing design and
identify site conditions that may influence the proposed development.

Geotechnical Site Investigations

Our investigations establish a detailed understanding of subsurface conditions at a proposed
development site. We assess soil and rock profiles, groundwater conditions, foundation
characteristics, and other relevant ground conditions to provide practical recommendations for
design and construction.

Foundation & Bearing Capacity Assessment

We assess ground conditions relevant to proposed foundations and provide geotechnical
parameters and recommendations for footings, slabs, piers, retaining structures, and other
foundations. Our assessments consider factors such as founding conditions, allowable bearing
capacity, and potential ground movement.

Slope Stability & Landslip Assessment

We investigate sites where slopes, excavations, or unstable ground may present geotechnical
risks. Our assessments consider soil conditions, slope geometry, groundwater, and other
relevant factors to provide appropriate stability recommendations.

Retaining Wall Geotechnical Assessment

We provide geotechnical input for retaining wall projects, including assessment of foundation
conditions, bearing capacity, soil parameters, earth pressure considerations, drainage
requirements, and suitable founding conditions.

Let's understand your site before construction begins.
